Mystery and references around every corner, a distorted reality that mixes american, european and out of this world pop culture influences and lots of amazing wacky sci-fi situations has been set to provide you hours of pure pixelated ecstasy!

This game pays homage to the great Lucas Arts, Sierra and Delphine Software of yore, making use of the 4 classic interaction verbs: examine, talk, pick up and use. Speaking of verbs, I do believe that a good script is the one thing that can’t be out of this kind of games, so making you laugh, or at least chuckle, in delight with some clever one-liners, funny interactions and sassy comebacks is going to be one of my main goals.
My name is Patricio Land aka Pato and I’ve been working on this game in all my free time for the past ten months as a personal project, sometimes even with my kids as a family project! Back in october 2017 the first episode of this story was released for free on a bunch of platforms. Since then, the response from the public was truly amazing. Adventurers loved the characters, the story, the music… it left me speechless!
It made me really happy to see people asking me for more and more original content every day. It was a lot of hard work and I was expecting some success (not, really!) so I’m delighted with the community reaction!

But anyways, back to the point: all these are some of the reasons why I need funds to bring this game to the next level. After proving the community and myself that I’m fully capable of this, my next step is to ask for some real bucks to be able to give everything I have to make everything I have planned for Sol705 a reality.
Graphic adventures are the best thing in the world but also pretty hard to make; there’s a lot of stuff to do: illustrations to draw, animations to make, dialogues to write and translate into several languages, music to compose… not to mention programming and keep chasing nasty bugs during countless nights!
I’ve been working on this project for several months and I’ve finished around a 60% of the final adventure. I used my own money and time to achieve this goal before bring it on Kickstarter because, well, nobody likes to wait years for a game, right? (just kidding, E3 is around the corner ready to make us excited for games that we are not gonna see till the next decade)
Anyhow, I can cover for most of the game expenses. The KS donations are for extra things like translations (english is not my native language) animations and voice acting. My living costs are already covered and I work at home…well…actually on a cave not so far from it, so rest assure on that one!

No episodes, no to be continued cliffhangers, no chapter delivery, no hidden purchases. The FULL GAME as it’s has to be!
The demo version aka ‘Exordium’ covers only the 1 day of the adventure, and you will have 8 more days to discover the truth of Laguna Tucana. That’s a lot of content, as you can see!
And more important, you’ll have the destiny of Sol705 in your hands (specially the one closer to your pockets) as I’ll have to publish this game on any platform in any possible future or alternative universe. Without your help, there’s not gonna be respawn chances, nor a cheaper Steam release or distribution.

Fan of the classics point and click adventures aesthetic? Sol705 features good old 2D art and animation. There´s no 3D or Spine rig animation involved whatsoever, just hand-drawn pictures along with that beautiful myriad of animated pixels we love to see our characters move, which feels -and looks- just great!

One of the funniest things in point and clicks is the possibility of use and combine all the stuff you’ll be picking up and carrying on along the journey, and this is not going to be the exception! Very much on the contrary, I am sure that many of the objects to be used in the game will bring incredible fond memories to some of you and will awake curiosity and disbelief in those who have never seen before…! Those are a few ones from the dozens you’ll find around.
But what about the beats, you may wonder? The OST includes great songs from the south american under scene, which is one of the main themes of this adventure. Two tracks are composed by a personal favourite: the Hiroshima Dandys. Other bands are also working to bring us some amazing songs, going from techno pop to symphonic rock!
In addition I have three fantastic musicians providing both the main theme and the incidental music..
Other talented musicians who had collaborated with me are Eric Matyas, Chris Whickham and Christian Laszlo.
And more great news: new bands are set for the next release, as NAX from my own cousin Nicolás Catello!
I started programming as a hobby back in the ’90s for the Sinclair Spectrum, Commodore 64and Amiga 500. One of my early games was pirated even before finished…and I ended up buying it without knowing! Even though, those were really great times and with Sol705 I wanted to bring back those feelings of joy and madness after spending several years into game press journalism.
That is why I’m developing this adventure, powered by two steaming coffee pots, running full time, under very dim lights and with tons of coding dumps surrounding me. But this time I’m not alone!
I decided to team-up with the same amazing artists, animators, translators, voice actors and musicians that worked with me in the demo (and some new others) to improve over the quality of this and take my ideas to the next level! And the best thing is that I don’t need to make everything from scratch to get the game ready as I’m using a revolutionary Bladecoder engine by Rafael García that it’s like a dream come true!
On the artistic side I count with the talent of Himashis Karmakar and Valentyn Kovalynskyi, two out of this world artist working on the backgrounds on double shift!
