Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout: New Vegas, looks and plays exactly the same as Fallout 3. But the additions that Obsidian have made push the survival angle even further to provide a much more immersive and authentic experience, and just like its predecessor New Vegas proves to be a role-playing masterpiece. – RealGamer
In New Vegas, the fun Fallout 3 formula is intact, with more polished combat, high-quality side missions, and the exciting setting of the Vegas strip. Unfortunately, the bugs also tagged along for the ride. – IGN
Fallout: New Vegas marries the best of Bethesda’s open world tradition with Obsidian’s excellent storytelling, writing and quest design. This is a huge and addictive role-playing game with an enormous amount of content and options for the player. – Gamer.no

Mass Effect 2

Despite some graphical disappointments and the infamous console-driven imprint, the next chapter of this beautiful Bioware saga stands with right among the most enjoyable and immersive adventures ever created for the videogame industry. – Everyeye.it
Mass Effect 2 is an epic in every sense, not forgetting anything. It can hold us until the last second, and still allows us to go further. – Eurogamer Portugal
On most levels it’s hard to fault Mass Effect 2; this is a sequel that polishes many of the original’s faults, tightening the combat and turning the screw on Shepard in the fight to save humanity with an impressive flair. – IGN

Super Mario Galaxy 2

super mario galaxy

No matter which side of the gaming coin you come from, this whole new universe of planets is the most inventive, exuberant and, yes, fun set of challenges and diversions yet seen in the platform game genre. It miraculously outclasses a game that many believed could not be bettered, and once again leaves us wondering just how close Nintendo’s bar has come to reaching its theoretical peak. – games(TM)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a big step up from an already great predecessor. It may not be perfect but it comes ever so close to it. – Da Gameboyz
Simultaneously more and less than its predecessor. It expands and elaborates on the gameplay in unpredictable ways, but the last one felt like a bigger, more complete adventure. That said, better core gameplay with less window dressing is infinitely preferable to the reverse. – Wired

Bioshock 2

The weapons are better. The plasmids are better. The enemies are better. At some points, even the storytelling is better. What’s most amazing and surprising about BioShock 2, however, is that by diving deeper into Rapture’s tortured history and exploring more of Rapture’s haunted world, it actually manages to make the original BioShock better, too.- GamesRadar+
Maybe Bioshock 2 is not as emotionally engaging as its first iteration, but at same time retains the main virtues of its predecessor. A game that shows the maturity that the First Person Shooter has achieved in this generation. – 3DJuegos
Whilst Bioshock 2 may feel very similar to the original game, it does expand on the characters and story that were introduced in the original game and once again allows you to create a very customisable playing experience through the use of Plasmids and Tonics.  – RealGamer

Red Dead Redemption

An unmissable game for any fan of the genre or great action adventures in general. We don’t often get masterpieces around here, but this is certainly one of those moments in time when gamers will look back more fondly on a dusty old six shooter than anything that involves jacking cars – TheSixthAxis
Red Dead Redemption has a beautiful virtual world with an enormous amount of things to do, an exciting story and fantastic action. The game not only shows a world of the past, but also makes the player reflect the times we live in now. An exceptional achievement for a game. – Gamer.nl
Red Dead Redemption is a fantastic game and arguably the finest Rockstar has ever produced. The production values are amazingly high, the gameplay is varied, challenging and nearly always a blast and the old West is as alive as any video game world yet seen. – Gamers’ Temple

Heavy Rain

Heavy Rain isn’t just a masterpiece; it’s an ingenious step in the right direction…This may very well be the most “human” game ever made, and an absolute triumph for the industry. Take from that what you will. – PSX Extreme
The excitement and emotion the experience playing Heavy Rain conveys is nothing short of remarkable making it a game that you definitely should pick up for your PS3. – Da Gameboyz
In spite of the negative aspects of the game, I highly recommend the interesting and unique experience that is Heavy Rain. – Gaming Target

Mafia 2

I walked into my experience of Mafia II with no real expectations other than hearing my colleague’s praise. What I walked away with after playing through the story was a sense of awe and amazement that I haven’t had since Alan Wake. – Game Chronicles
Mafia 2 is a great, story-driven action game which offers great cut scenes and a believable game world. Its characters, graphics, music and sound are outstanding, but it lacks good AI and side missions at the same time. After ten to twelve hours of gameplay you finish the game with no possibility to deal with the game furthermore – compared to other open-world-titles like GTA IV. Anyhow, Mafia 2 is a great old-school-action game, with few faults. – PC Games
Flaws and linear nature taken into account, Mafia II is a beautiful, gripping, engaging game-and where it doesn’t allow you to go is more than made up for by where it does. – Game Revolution
