Best Brutally Hard Video Games For Xbox One And PlayStation 4

Dark Souls is a game that is popular and known for its immense difficulty even though it is not the hardest game of all time but it is for sure the most well crafted hard game. Every Hard video game is not and there is a difference between a frustrating game and hard game. I hate games like Sonic (2006) because of same level design that repeats itself. But I love video games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls not because they are hard but because games like these forces player to think differently and play the game with different styles. Today we are taking a look at some of the hardest video game you should play on Xbox One And PS4.

HOTLINE MIAMI 2

In almost every way, Hotline Miami 2 is a marked improvement on an already tremendous formula. This is a game that had me pumping my fists and laughing with joy throughout my time with it, and I was left despondent by the time it drew to a close. – GameSpot

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a great sequel. It innovates just enough to feel fresh but, unfortunately, takes a bit of player freedom away through its fixed characters. – Softpedia

This is not merely a sequel worth playing, it’s one worth consuming again and again until its every secret has been revealed. – games(TM)

DARK SOULS III

It is an achievement in game design and probably the best Souls game ever created by the masterminds of FromSoftware. – GameOver.gr

Despite its minor shortcomings, I have not played through such a satisfying and complete experience in a long time. Dark Souls III not only is the best in the series, it is also the best action RPG to come out in recent years. – IGN Denmark

While it’s still impossible on a personal level for me to admit that any of Dark Souls’ siblings could better it, when taken as a whole, complete experience, Dark Souls III may be the best chapter of the Souls series that From Software has crafted. A fitting way to end, if that will indeed be the fate of the franchise. – EGM

SUPER MEAT BOY

This sublime platformer provides tons of challenge, precise controls, and incredible level design that will keep you glued to the screen. – GameSpot

Super Meat Boy is one of the best modern platformers. It’s infuriating, exasperating, and arduous, but it’s also delightful, thrilling, and hilarious. – IGN

Blood, action, romance. Super Meat Boy Ultra Edition has got it all. – GamingXP

BLOODBORNE

I want to keep playing, I want to discover its secrets, I want to fight every monster, try every weapon, discuss theories and explore as many of the community dungeons as possible. To put it bluntly, I want to bleed the game dry. – Digital Spy

FromSoftware has a unique style when creating incredibly well-designed worlds. The new offensive combat system gives a fresh start to the series, and while it is more direct in its conception, it doesn’t lose an ounce of depth. – 3DJuegos

Bloodborne is an incredible game; tight in its mechanics, logical in its systems, rewarding, intense, gloriously frustrating and exciting in equal measure. The PS4 has its first absolutely essential game. As if there was ever any doubt. – games(TM)

FURI

Furi kicked my ass, and I loved it. There was laughter, there were tears, but most of all, there was a goddamned great game. The combat is extremely taxing, but fair, and the narrative is surprisingly rewarding. If you’re a masochist, Furi is the game you’ve been waiting for. – GamingTrend
Furi is a brilliant, fast-paced action game that combines elements from the classic Japanese bullet-hell shooters. The combat system is precise, the soundtrack epic and the engine runs flawlessly pretty much always. – Eurogamer Italy
Furi is addictive and challenging, a game that push you to the limit but makes you feel rewarded. If you want to test your skills, Furi deserves a chance. – Vandal
