Every Big Video Game Announced At Ubisoft E3 Conference

After dropping the announcement for Assassin’s Creed Origins with a gameplay trailer at the Microsoft press conference earlier this E3, it was interesting to see what Ubisoft would bring us this year. With another Far Cry coming up, what would they choose to bring to the stage to showcase their studio this year?

Mario x Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Ubisoft started off immediately with a trailer for their Rabbids and Mario crossover game, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a tactical adventure exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. It features all your favorite Mario characters such as Mario and Peach, that classic music and Nintendo style but with a Rabbids twist.

The game changes between exploration and combat modes. The combat is turn-based with the ability to change between party members and destroy covers. Each character has their own unique ability to aid the team in combat. Overall it seems like a very simple game with the classic Rabbids humor and some Nintendo polish.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

Next to take the stage was the next edition in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Striking up ten whole years as a series, Origins is the prequel to the franchise and takes place in Ancient Egypt, back to a time where civilization was just starting. Ubisoft showcases their gorgeous environments, amazing animal models, and music skills. Assassin’s Creed Origins will be out October 27th, 2017 on the new Xbox One X.

Skull & Bones

Ubisoft Singapore brought us a trailer for a new IP of Skull & Bones, an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag inspired game, and is said to be “the ultimate pirate experience”.

The game is a tactical naval combat game where you can craft your own fleet of ships or join up with friends. You can shift from crew member to crew member to steer and keep an eye out for enemy fleets. Your ship comes with canons or you can use it as a battering ram. The goal is to collect the most loot and survive. Coming out Fall of 2018

Far Cry 5

Making an appearance on the stage after being announced earlier this year, Far Cry 5 showed off more of Hope County, Montana.

The town is overwhelmed by a religious cult, your character can now have guns for hire characters aid them. One in with is a dog, or fangs for hire, who can fetch weapons and attack by your side. The game is set to release February 2018.

Beyond Good and Evil Two

The final big announcement of the evening, the sequel to the ever-popular Beyond Good and Evil! A long-anticipated game finally coming to life after fifteen years of radio silence whether there would be a sequel or not. The game takes place before Jade enters the picture, and from the looks of it, the game looks to be promising!

A few quieter announcements such as a mobile South Park game called Phone Destroyer, a new Just Dance going to be released and another South Park the Fractured but Whole trailer, this Ubisoft conference was very underwhelming in terms of content.
