Everything Announced At The Xbox One E3 Press Conference

The show began with Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, unveiling the official title of the Scorpio, which is titled Xbox One X. We also got our first look at what the Xbox One X looks like.

6 Teraflop GPU clocked at 1.172 Ghz
12GB of GDDR5 memory
326GB/s of memory bandwidth

Price: $499.
Release: November 7th


The Xbox One X has true 4K, 8+million pixels, HDR, Wide color gamut, Premium Dolby Atmos sound, and 4K UHD Blu-ray playback.

All Xbox One accessories and games will work with Xbox One X. Additionally, the game library on your Xbox one will play even better on Xbox One X with enhanced visual fidelity, anisotropic filtering, and faster load times.


Even if you don’t have 4K TV yet games will look better on your 1080p TV. By using supersampling Xbox One X will improve 1080p output.

For the first time on a console, the Xbox One X will use a liquid-cooled vapor chamber which is normally reserved for high-end PC cards.

According to Microsoft, not only is the Xbox One X the most powerful console, it is also the smallest Xbox yet.


Additionally: Xbox Backward Compatibility for the Xbox One systems. Yes, games from the original Xbox will soon be available to play on your Xbox One systems. Original games from the Xbox will look better and play better across the Xbox One family. More details will be made available when the program when it launches later this year.


Phil Spencer makes a comeback to the stage to emphasize the importance of games to the Xbox library. Games from creators large and small will make their way to the Xbox soon. Phil announces 42 games will be featured on the stage today, including 22 games with console exclusivity on Xbox One.

If you own Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Killer Instinct, Halo Wars 2, or Minecraft will prove 4K update for free. Over 30 titles from 3rd party partners will provide free updates as Xbox One X enhance programs; titles such as Final Fantasy 15, Resident Evil 7, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and Rocket league to name a few.

Forza Motorsport 7.

We learned that through a passion for racing on Xbox and PC, Forza has become the premiere partner to the automotive industry. To expand on this, Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director, announces a 6-year partnership with Porsche along with the official world debut of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2RS.

Forza Motorsport 7 runs native 4k and 60fps on the Xbox One X. Features more than 700 cars and environments of spectacular vistas and massive scale. Racing has been made more dynamic with the growing of puddles as storms unleash their fury. Ships October 3rd, 2017.

Metro Exodus


In a nice surprise, we saw the world premiere of Metro Exodus, the graphically impressive first-person shooter from the creative team 4A games responsible for the Metro series. Departing 2018.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

Following a string of recent leaks, we finally got our first look at the gameplay of the new assassins creed title from the developers of Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. The setting in this iteration is ancient Egypt, the birthplace of modern civilization when the pyramids were still white. Combat has changed and has been expanded. New weapons including a bow and arrow (with the ability to fire multiple arrows at once) as well a shield are your weapons now. Assassins Creed Origins is the story of one man, Bayek, who is a protector of his community. In the gameplay segment, we get a look at horseback riding as well as the pet eagle of Bayek which can be used in the game to oversee the map and mark enemies. Climbing and sneaking look very fluid and fast, with the ability to hide in tall grass and throw knives in Assassins Creed fashion. Available October 27, 2017.

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds

The popular PC battle-royal style game is coming to the Xbox One later this year with an update for Xbox One X enhancements.


Deep Rock Galactic:

Deep Rock Galactic is a Xbox One console launch exclusive from Ghost Ship Games, a new Danish game development studio which was founded only in spring of 2016.


State of Decay 2


The much anticipated open world apocalyptic zombie game looks promising in its latest trailer. State of Decay 2 is a Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive coming in Spring 2018.

The Darwin Project

Xbox One console launch exclusive multiplayer game with survival elements set in Canada.


New look for Minecraft revealed and is coming this fall. The update titled Super Duper Graphics Pack will be Xbox One X enhanced and feature HDR and 4K.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z


The World premiere of a new Dragon Ball Z game coming early 2018.

The MMORPG Black Desert

Featuring a variety of characters and fighting styles, diverse enemy types, and beautiful environments. Xbox One console launch exclusive coming early 2018.

The Last Night

The 2D side-scrolling cyberpunk game is heavy on atmosphere and looks great. It is a console launch exclusive and is Xbox One X enhanced with 4K Ultra HD, and HDR enabled.

The Artful Escape

Another side scrolling game, this one has a lot of heart. Featuring rock music and a cool space suit wearing, guitar playing protagonist traversing alien environments. This one is one to look forward to. “Coming When It’s Damn Ready”

Code Vein

We got our look at the gameplay of Code Vein which was developed by Bandai Namco. Often referred to as a cross between Bloodborne and anime, this new title features post-apocalyptic themes with a dose of vampires. Coming in 2018.

Sea of Thieves


The Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive Sea of Thieves is one of the more highly anticipated games. The cheerful, humorous, and shared world of a sea of thieves is fascinating. It is the world full of promising adventure and sunken treasure. It features, pirates, sharks, a dynamic ocean, shipwrecks, jungles and caves to explore. There are beautiful and colorful vistas featuring storms to navigate through and many riddles to solve ultimately leading the player to more loot. This upcoming multiplayer pirate game is very promising and is coming in 2018.



The developer Fullbright’s (developers of the acclaimed Gone Home) next game is an Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive coming August 2, 2017.

Super Lucky’s Tale

A colorful indie platformer about a fox collecting coin in a strange world. Xbox One exclusive and Xbox One X enhanced


A 1930’s cartoon styled indie game. The Xbox One exclusive will be available September 29.

Crackdown 3

This Xbox One Console Launch Exclusive is a moody survival RPG set in an open world.


Life is Strange Before the Storm

World premier of the unexpected prequel to the hit Square Enix game: Life is Strange. Xbox One X enhanced.

Shadow of War

We get a look at more gameplay. In this sequel, the nemesis system has been expanded. “Mordor is a massive living breathing world filled with orc societies, tribes, and wildlife, as well as stories and secrets.”


Ori and the Will of the Wisp


Get the tissue box ready! A sequel to a beloved game that earned itself a BAFTA for Artistic Achievement.


The conference concludes with the gameplay reveal of Bioware’s new IP: Anthem. This new game looks absolutely stunning. These are high end graphics on a new level. The game features exosuits called Javelins which are highly customizable to your desire. The suits give superhuman strength and use boosters giving mobility to fly or swim in an agile fashion. This is a vast open dynamic world with beautiful large environments. The gameplay trailer ends with a violent storm we have yet to see how this affects gameplay.
