Bioware Seems to be Listening! Mass Effect Andromeda 1.08 Patch Notes
Mass Effect Andromeda has been out for almost 3 months now and the folks over at Bioware have been listening to us and are slowly making changes to make this game what we all wanted.
Bioware has released patch notes for Mass Effect Andromeda’s upcoming patch. They are addressing some of the biggest issues fans had when the game first released; lack of character customization and a lack of male romance options for the Scott Ryder.
Expanded Character Customization
To me, this improvement does not seem all that impressive when you compare the customization options in Mass Effect to games like Fallout 4, but I guess it is a step in the right direction. Mass Effect Andromeda has added 2 new head options to chose from, one for males and one for females.
They have added one new complexion option and have added a wider range of skin tone options for players to choose from. All hair styles have been unlocked for both sexes and they have added “bald” to your hair style options. These options are available at the start of your story and if you are already immersed in to the Andromeda galaxy, you will be able to adjust the look of your character aboard the Tempest.
More Romance Options
For me, one of the most difficult decisions while playing any Mass Effect game is who I want to romance and they just made it even more difficult for me. The people over at Bioware got a lot of criticism over the lack of a male romance option for Scott Ryder and now, after three months, are adding the ability to romance the Angaran character Jaal. Bioware has always been in support of the LGBTQ community and according to their patch notes, they discussed the decision to add Jaal as a romance option for Scott Ryder. The feedback the community gave them allowed them to make what I feel is a great decision in making Mass Effect Andromeda an even better game and I cannot wait to see how this will effect my choices during my next play through.
