The Worst Thing About The Metacritic

Metacritic is a super famous world wide website, which rates different types of media entertainments based on number of licensed medias and websites (so far so good). However, are all of those who work in these  licensed websites/ medias are licensed to review and rate video games? Of course not.

Clearly this explains loads, and one of them is why a single video game is given 9 or 10 out of 10 from a certain website and 4 or less from another although the game is perfect, or garbage. This simply because the first or the second web has no idea how to review and rate video games. It might had a staff who was experienced, knowledgeable and capable but he/ she quit, or resigned, or even died and the same mission was handed over to someone else  who lacks the experience for the same. Or he/she prefers certain type of games, for instance the reviewer might prefers western games over Japanese games or the vice versa.

How to solve this problem?

Practically in my opinion there is no sufficient way unless Metacritic becomes something like ISO (standard) and conduct at least yearly strict inspections for the licensed reviewers to ensure the honesty and the accuracy.

So what about you ladies and gentlemen? How could Metacritic solve this problem?
