Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 Now Supports Microtransactions

It’s not just Destiny that’s getting new microtransactions. Another Activision game, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, is introducing more items like weapons, outfits, taunts, camos, cosmetic attachments, and more to buy.

The game’s Black Market in-game store was updated today, December 15, with the following items to buy through Supply Drops on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC:

  • Butterfly Knife
  • Brass Knuckles
  • New taunts
  • New body and head variants for each Specialist
  • Epic rarity camo
  • A “wealth” of new Calling Cards
  • Extra Slot Packs

  • Vials of Liquid Divinium
  • Extra Slot Packs

These Black Ops III Black Market items are not available to buy on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, Activision explained in a blog post.

Activision also notes that all of these items can be obtained through traditional gameplay. But if you want to get them right away, you can now buy “Call of Duty points” to do so. Activision is giving out one-time gifts of 200 Call of Duty points for everyone who logs in for a limited time.

If you want more Call of Duty points, you can buy them in these groups:

  • 200 Call of Duty points — $2
  • 1,100 Call of Duty points — $10
  • 2,400 Call of Duty points — $20
  • 4,100 Call of Duty points — $40

Activision did not announce price points for the new Black Ops III Black Market items.
