Prey for the Gods is poised to be the next independently developed game everyone and their Twitter followers will be talking about. Its first trailer has very quickly built up buzz, and it’s easy to see why.

The minute and a half long trailer shows the game to be the neapolitan ice cream of gaming genres, mixing a little bit of Tomb Raider, with some Shadow of the Colossus, and pick any recent scavenge to survive game to top it off.

“Prey for the Gods is a brutal journey set on a desolate frozen island, where your only chance of survival is to destroy the very gods you believe in,” developer No Matter explains.

“You play a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must survive the colossal dangers that you encounter. To restore balance and reclaim the land from the brink, you will be faced with questions that not even a God knows the answer to.”

The trailer shows PC and Mac as release platforms, but does not provide any indication of a release date. Take a look at some screenshots from the game below.
