Silent hill being one of the scariest horror games in the non indie. market announced the launch of the silent hill P.T in near 2014 (P.T standing for playable teaser) and the demo freaked us and many advertising the game on social media, as in youtube and Facebook. This was not released for the PC, but only for playable alpha on the PS4, some consoles were being sold with this demo preinstalled but not they have been stopped as for productions and the remaining in stock are being auctioned at the moment. The downloadable content is also no longer available in ps store.
After the hit of the latest silent hill game shattered memories and its two predecessors silent hill has been across many platforms including the, PSP and the nintendo series, this increased the fan base across many console genres. At the time and now there are not many non-inde games in the market only a few being mainstream such as the resident evil series and the alan wake and its dlc sequel the american nightmare. The silent hill series also had many movies made after their first launch making more fans across the big screen and their home T.V. All this lead to the huge fan base for the silent hill franchise and when the launch the the next instalment in the silent hill series was announced there was a lot of hype. The demo made the game look too scary for many people featuring endless halls and human unborn babies it was a chill in the spine. graphics made it look very close to real this made the fan base exited and eager for the launch before it was cancelled and became a huge letdown for most people. The PlayStation 4’s “playable teaser” for the cancelled Silent Hills game, P.T., is now no longer available to download on the PlayStation Store. Publisher Konami announced last week that the teaser would be removed on Wednesday, April 29.
Konami has not elaborated on why P.T. was removed from the store, which happened amidst a reported power struggle between the publisher and developer Hideo Kojima, who was directing Silent Hills. Director Guillermo del Toro and actor Norman Reedus were also involved with the game. Although Silent Hills has been cancelled, Konami stated that it remained “committed to new Silent Hill titles.”
For those who didn’t pick up the free demo in time, multiple listings for PlayStation 4’s with P.T. installed on their hard drives have now appeared on online auction site eBay. If you’re wondering what the teaser was about and why it was awarded GameSpot’s Game of the Month award upon release, check out our tribute to P.T.Silent Hills was originally revealed at Gamescom 2014 as horror game P.T., which was launched as a free PS4 demo on the PlayStation Store with no explanation as to what it was.
